ABOUT EMBRACE IT
Living and competing with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) or other forms of Dysautonomia can feel overwhelming. As a former collegiate athlete turned Ironman® World Championship competitor, I know firsthand how isolating it can be to battle a misunderstood condition while trying to hold onto your identity as an athlete.
At Embrace It, we work with athletes and their support systems to bridge the gap between health and performance helping to navigate symptoms, develop individual training plans, and openly talk about the emotional and physical challenges of continuing to compete while managing their health.

Meet the Founder

Elise Greenwald, founder of Embrace It
As a former collegiate athlete who developed POTS during my own athletic career, I’ve lived the challenges that come with trying to balance training, recovery, and health. I earned my B.A. in Biology from The College of Wooster, where my passion for physiology, performance, and resilience began.
In My Own Words
WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Julia
I have been working with Elise for a little over a month and she has made such a difference in my life. I have noticed that with the cardiac rehab program she has had me on, I am able to spend less time stuck in bed and have been able to become more of an active participant in my life. I have noticed a lot of improvement in my quality of life and am so grateful to have to support, advice, and help from Elise. I am so grateful that she has turned a negative part of my life into something that is more manageable and I really appreciate her positivity and ability to look a chronic illness from a less devastating lens.

Elise has been OUTSTANDING! I came to her after seeing her content on POTS. I struggled to run more than a mile and had no idea how to recover. After working with her, I can now run over 10 miles easily and have tons of energy!
She’s been a huge part of that!

My greatest goal since I got sick has been to return to racing. Since working with Elise, I have raced twice and signed up to finally tackle the half marathon I missed out on. I am feeling stronger and noticing improved POTS symptoms and overall fitness. She reminds me that I can achieve my goals and offers a plan that works with my body. Highly recommended!
